Mother Earth, the planet that you love

We are in a period of change
The world outside has started acting strange
Now is not the time to sit and wait

And all that we can do is stop it in its’ tracks
With every second, every hour that passes by
The planet you call home has now begun to die
There’s no need to start to get confused
All you have to do is watch the news
Storms and floods remind us of her power
Weather systems failing by the hour
Hurricanes and water levels rising
Look at how we live, it’s not surprising
Mother Earth is ticking like a bomb
Giving up her duties one by one
Carefully she reminds us of our plight
Lets us know we’ve still not got it right
The climate and its’ harmony are shaking
Like a monster she is slowly waking
